Belated congratulations. (I was away the week you posted this. Visiting family.)

I'm curious about your dissertation, too. I generally suspect I'm the kind of thinker you wouldn't like--muzzy-headed, theory-heavy, Francophiliac. But that doesn't stop me from liking what you write about books.

TY! Nah to muzzy etc. Most of the trouble with theory has been its misuse anyway. (Most.)
