Surrealest moment of week: reading Emily Nussbaum minutely describing Adventure Time (which she's clearly just discovered). I know present day New Yorker writers don't talk like George Plimpton and wear tweed, surely anyway mostly, but still. I think a lot of it is the typeface, subtly making you feel you're still in Dorothy Parker times.

Not that Parker wouldn't have also loved Adventure Time.

Sidenote: George Plimpton's brother Oakes lives in our town and leads birdwatching classes.

In any pair of brothers one's nature one's culture.

Nussbaum has apparently never had a thought she personally didn't think was worth tweeting. Too bad she's far under 50% accurate about that.
