I think I'm gradually succumbing to Adventure Time fandom.

I'm not 100 percent sure it's better than Mad Men, what with how inattentively I tend to watch Mad Men, but feel confident saying that in six days and one hour it will be the best show on television. I'm not sure just when it became great, but it was at least close when I started watching it back near the beginning of season 5.

But fans are pretty much by definition the people who can no longer tell how objectively good what they love is. And I'm starting to feel fanny. I was surprised to find I could rewatch Community episodes three or four times in one year, but with this one I seem to have no limit at all. That can't be normal, so.

Adventure Time delivers something no other show has ever delivered. There are times I'm watching where I imagine something surreal happening to one of the bodies in the scene and then it happens. I have these moments of craving a certain kind of show and this is the only thing that satisfies it. I could hum that theme song forever.
