Questions I have:

1. Were the killers of Sayid's wife aiming for Sayid? Doesn't seem particularly in line with either Jacob's or Facob's plans for Sayid to die.

2. Did Widmore have and raise Penelope just to enamor Desmond, getting him onto and keeping him off of the island at two crucial points? He was needed to change how history was supposed to go, and then he was needed to go away and stop changing anything at all. Both Jacob and Facob seem dependent on people getting magno-charged enough to change the world, but once they've done so they're a threat to their plans. Whose needs did Desmond serve by pushing the button, not pushing the button, alerting '90s Daniel about time travel, getting Charlie to where he could shut down the signal blocker - Jacob's, because it got everyone off the island, or Facob's because they ultimately came back in a way that fooled Jacob into dropping his guard? I.e. who is Widmore serving.

3. Why aren't these entities allowed to kill? Facob can't kill Jacob, and needed the monster to kill Eko for him - perhaps he just led Eko to where the monster already was, even, and didn't actually give it orders. And we've seen that they don't actually possess corpses, more like reconstruct them. They do seem to be tangible, though, I seem to recall? Handing objects around and whatnot? My memory is failing.

the question I had was where is christian's body? taken by the smoke monster (anubis?). how is locke's different that his body is still around.

It's stored in the temple (unless he had it incinerated), since the genetic info seems to be the key. NegaLocke didn't have time to deal with his own body, I guess - working on Ben was the crucial thing.

the thing with the shoes was, christian wasn't buried with his own shoes, just some shoes that suddenly appeared somewhere. while locke was wearing christian's. maybe a comingling of spirit matter is going on but something else is important with it. we presumed christian was wearing his predecessor's shoes.

Ohhh. Yeah I dunno - have all the Facobs worn the same shoes?

Didn't Jack get the shoes from his grandfather? I can't remember precisely.

Yes. But someone requested that he do that. I can't remember who - Christian? Locke? Ben?

Maybe the planted shoes have pedia-egg, or some other kind of foot-grater built into the sole there. Or maybe it was a signal - 'you'll know which Locke I am by my shoes.'

Maybe they're going to try to have both Jacob and Facob be fake-Christian at diff. points, and feel one would have to have the body and one the shoes. They do sometimes get themselves in writing quandaries (though the Black V. White theme was set up pretty early) - perhaps they want to keep some of Christian's actions as Jacob's.

?) hurley has been seeing things for a while. the bald guy (dale?) who used to talk to him didn't seem like an island-entity, for example. has he had any honest, non-island visions in this season?

?) is it in jacob's or facob's interest that they detonate the bomb 30 years ago?

?) If one of them is set and the other osiris, osiris has a son named horus, conceived after his death, who grows up to be the champion sky god.

?) If the Others store bodies, why havent they ever seen visions?

Dave, David. He's had visions of Jacob, Charlie...was it him who had one of Ana Lucia? Can't remember if there's been a Libby one. But Dave probably has to do with Jacob or Facob - he embodied Hurley's guilt about a balcony collapsing and killing people, didn't he? And he guided Hurley to the crazy numbers guy somehow, and then out of the asylum somehow so that the numbers could be used.

The bomb frees the bizarre energy from beyond space and time rather than destroying it (maybe). Therefore I'd say it helps Jacob, assuming Facob is the normal Earth demiurge. But this can so easily be reversed using Lost Writing (tm).

Did not know that about Horus. I think that's exactly what they must be going for, though - Jacob's dead but there are all these ladies around, and his fertilization sphere from beyond infinity, she's a-pulsatin'. His first visitation was with Kate.

The monster stores bodies. And the others don't get to see visions or move through time because they're a herd of dupes.

Re. Horus (any relation to hours, time? any meaningful punnability re. Horace?), it wasn't lost on me that with the two present gods, monster, and the god to be they now have a couple different versions of the Christian Trinity + side order of Satan available.

Also re. Horus:

The last moment of the season was another mega-release of energy, which Juliet presumably didn't survive, but which might be irradiating Jack, Sawyer, Candle & son, Hurley, Jin, surviving Dharma people, and Kate. There'd be some irony value for Juliet's action successfully impregnating Kate - who's back with her original love triangle, so some sex might be happening soon.

The whole Kate/Aaron plotline may have been to get her biological clock ticking. 'This one isn't for you' [therefore...].
