(no subject)

Just finished the new Mad Mens (surely the mad menses scene was a pun). Overall I liked this season better than any since the first, which drew me in through pretty typical tv intrigue machinery, for which I'm a sucker, rather than general impressiveness, for which I should be but am not. Processing subtle writing is an odd thing to do while being hypnotized by pretty patterns and colors, maybe. But it's neat seeing a show playing with so many deliberate handicaps and mostly winning. I wouldn't be able to rewatch season one, but probably could rewatch this last one.

Seemed like the writers were pursuing some kind of amusing vendetta against January Jones.
