(no subject)

When you write something where you feel "on," however you come to feel about it later, does it often come after you've been writing something more prosaic or unambitious on an entirely different topic? I do this close to every time. Like I have to wake up all the writing parts of my brain before I can ask them to collaborate toward something significant.
