Jun. 13th, 2016 03:57 pmIt's like at a wake. Not speaking is wrong, cliches are wrong, any departure from such set phrases is wrong - lets in too much self, or a specific amount of emotion that by not being infinite falls so far short of enough that it sounds like mockery. Worrying about whether to speak or not is thus also wrong. But of course so is not worrying.
The wrongness of the thing itself infects every approach to it. But you show up anyway, say or almost say something anyway. To show - and find - we love each other more than we fear infection.
