Seemed to me all evidence of supernaturalness was carefully ambiguous. And people not returning, if true at all, may have had something to do with the army shooting them. If there was plenty of clear evidence I'm missing can you name some? The Stalker inveighed against the others for their lack of faith at the end, after all, and his wife didn't defend his accuracy, just that he made joy possible.
