Nice. I have a somewhat colder read of him. Influenced, of course, by the Continental Op. And by Effie's shuddering disapproval. One thing about book and movie: Spade knows it's Brigid from the start, as his explanation ("Miles was stupid but not stupid enough to....") to Brigid shows.
