Shelley 3 and Twin Peaks 2 have been tossed back into futurity. Saraband was interesting but by no means great Bergman. Apparently Pevear and Volokhonsky are finishing a version of War and Peace; Viking has one out now in hardback by Briggs, an okay Pushkin translator. Japanese novels are not rocking my world thus far.

Alibris tells me copies exist in unreachable parts of the world of Stendhal's lesser nonfiction, and what seems to be a translation of the full version of Albertine Gone.

A fascinating page listing lost literary works (Shakespeare's Love's Labor's Won etc.). To which I'd add Ovid's Medea. And I think Shelley wrote a novel, post-Queen Mab, that he destroyed?
