Maddy: I'm a boy!

Me: What's wrong with being a girl?

Maddy: Nothing's wrong with being a girl.

Me: Then why do you want to be a boy?

Maddy: (after thought) Because I'm a rocket.

Her favorite book lately is How to Catch a Star, in which "the boy who loved stars" has a little red rocket he goes to the moon in.

I'm hoping this is one of the things where you blink and it's gone. Because no way can we afford any of the last eleven analysts.

But either way we need lots more books where girls are the cool ones.
