Well, that made her happy. As well as her entire extended family who she's phoning. She's afraid Vancouver may riot again; last time it happened she tried to reason with the cops and was teargassed. They had no experience with riots and had boxed the citizens in downtown, rather than providing controlled outlets, so the crowds got denser and more panicked as they bounced around. Her mother sent us a big box of souvenirs, which Julie's convinced will now be worth a lot of money someday.
We both feel sorry for the godlike Miller. Being a bit crosseyed surely provides an advantage at tracking small black objects flying at you and/or is the result of same.
