Pan Am: was free on iTunes. No, but better than all the above.
Community: maybe - episode one wasn't very good, but it was at least painless. They tell me it gets better.

Date: 2012-03-17 07:19 pm (UTC)Community is good but it's never more than television. I liked Game of Thrones, but I think that's because I watched it with people who liked the books? And the show is better than the book, markedly, it's actually a masterful adaptation, so watching that scroll out was a pleasure, and sitting next to somebody pouring out of a bottle of rum altered with the legend We Do Not Sow, all of the things that were happening around the show were a delight, and I can't really imagine how laughably, self-regardingly turgid it would have seemed without them.
Game of Thrones is a show that requires yelling back at the screen, and not in a small company, you need a gang to face its gangs.
