First sustained meditation attempt. There's definitely something to it. I think of the mind as being a whole lot of things, most of which are unemptiable short of actual sleep, but a few processes did seem to fall away, others slow down. Kind of worked as a reset button. I'll try to remember to try again tomorrow.

I used to do TM for quite a while and still do at moments of otherwise imbattable stress like death of near and dear ones, split ups of love-relationships and other trifles. Still works, like prayer (religious or not; the mantra method stays the same). As my TM teacher (the Doyen of the Musical Museum of Stockholm, incidentally) said: "we are so very loud in our heads, this is a way to be quiet with ourselves". But it wasn´t for me, it was very interesting, all the things happening; most of all the space.
