There's some research ambiguously suggesting brains like mine handle workdays better when something new and interesting is experienced right at the start. I'm interpreting this to mean I should read something short but great. I've only read a handful of Henry James stories so perhaps that's the way to go? Suggestions welcome, from him or elsewhere.
