There's some research ambiguously suggesting brains like mine handle workdays better when something new and interesting is experienced right at the start. I'm interpreting this to mean I should read something short but great. I've only read a handful of Henry James stories so perhaps that's the way to go? Suggestions welcome, from him or elsewhere.

Can't recall if we've discussed Alice Munro? The Moons of Jupiter collection is on my desert island list.

Why that collection in particular?

It's an amusing choice - addresses how much one would miss women.

Everything in it seems perfect to me. If you've already read it, though, it wouldn't meet your criteria.

No, I think I've read just four stories by her ever.
