Melatonin 3 mg works for knock-out pretty well, but I think I'd better start putting devices away c. 10. It's writing that sucks me in enough to fight through the drowsiness, not often reading anymore. I guess I could try 5 mg rather than attempt yet another lifestyle alteration - I have a few going right now - but maybe it's better to conserve the composing impulse for the work I'm supposed to be doing. And cutting night devicing improves quality of sleep as well as duration, they say. My rest is too scarce to not do whatever might help.

I do like writing while falling asleep. Maybe in some later season.
