May. 9th, 2017 11:46 pmBetter Call Saul worry: that this latest episode maybe isn't the midpoint of just the season but the series. It ties up the central plot issue: the removal of what had held Jimmy back from becoming what he will. Not that I mean the character's certainly gone, but that Jimmy's cut his ideological ties, as it were. Kim (technical rather than thorough legality?) will now be the problem, but she could end up a 2.5 season one too - all depends what the creators' vision of the show is. And since Breaking Bad wrapped up in 5 seasons (kind of) the creators might be looking at that as precedent. They need to never stop, though, is the thing. Especially now that they've resurrected damn near everything about the earlier show but its core cast. Surely that means they have now accepted not stopping as their fate.
Twin Peaks worry: can the universe even handle 18 straight hours of a David Lynch TV show? I feel like planetary orbits will be affected. Or that electrons will reverse their directions of spin, or however it is they move.

Date: 2017-05-11 01:52 am (UTC)I eventually watched Game of Thrones just because I kept accidentally reading plot spoilers. Which people would then mention ad nauseam till I wondered what the fuck anyone was talking about. It was cave or leave the internet. Twin Peaks will be like that. So even if you don't like the show to the tune of 50 bucks over 4 months it might be worth like 10 to avoid those frustrations? Though an internet-free summer might be priceless if one could manage it.
If you actually like being frustrated Showtime also has The Affair, though.
