proximoception"Funny how being humbled as often as I have hasn't lead to being humble," he said, assuming saying this would make it seem like he was humble enough to not think of himself as humble - and that the advertisement of his humiliations would make him seem like a person with an eventful and fascinating past. He also thought it was so cleverly phrased that on New Year's Eve he'd be spirited away to a secret conclave made up of the cleverest people so they could give him an award for it. His was a simple sort of complexity.
