Borrowed ambiens from my wife a couple times this last week, and it got me sleeping but on an unpredictable schedule. Also tonight I had some of the worst nightmares of my life - the full resources of my imagination were given complete access to my entire palette of my fears and displeasures. If that's even an intact metaphor. Anyway, it sucked, and I woke after a couple hours out of a sort of refusal to experience such things. I remember a Cassandra going on about the dangers of 'simulated sleep' in a conversation once. I wonder if this is one of them - nightmares this bad should definitely not be coming to someone who napped the whole weekend away. Unless that was the problem, buried worries about how behind I am in everything.

Guess I'll go work on that.
